our process
1. Consultation & Concepts
Beginning with a FREE consultation, we discuss initial concepts and ideas, then visit your site and do preliminary drawings.
2. Pricing Stage
We develop our preliminary drawings with enough detail to define direction and establish pricing.
3. Final Drawings
Our final drawings define structural detail and engineering specifications for final permit approvals.
The 1st Consultation is on Us!
Your first Imagine consultation is FREE, and without obligation. This gives us the opportunity to mutually discover if our approach syncs constructively, and a way to explore rough budgets and brainstorm about vision, ideas and expectations.
Our Process...
1. Consultation & Concepts
Our first process step begins with a FREE office consultation, where we discuss ideas, establish a tentative budget, and get acquainted with the basics of your project. This is a no-obligation consultation that establishes the foundation for the project moving forward. Creatively, it explores your tastes and style preferences, and gives us overall design direction.
In most workflows, stage 1 will also involve an on-site visit, where we look at the setting and landscape and any existing structures and take measurements. This understanding of place is essential to effective design and architecture.
Based on these foundational consultations, we do preliminary design and drawings. This is conceptual and gives you the opportunity to approve the direction. Each preliminary design includes generic 3D’s for your confirmation before we move on to the next stage.
Detailed 3Ds and renderings can be done upon request. These are a great aid to help you visualize your project before construction. While 3D modelling may add some time and expense to the design process, it is far more efficient to correct or change design details at this stage, as opposed to in the building process.

2. Pricing Stage
In the pricing stage, we’re developing the plan with enough detail to establish pricing for your project. The plans are not yet finished but have enough information for contractors and tradesmen to price the job. This allows you to see how the project fits into your budget, and make changes if necessary, before the plans are finalized.
We also bring experienced tradesmen, that we routinely work with and trust, to your project. With Imagine being involved throughout the whole project, communication is continuous from preliminary design to construction completion.
3. Final Drawings
In our final stage, always in dialogue with you, we create final working drawings. We add the final details and information to the plans to make them complete. The final drawings, along with all other necessary documents, can be used to submit an application for a building permit.
When this stage is finished, your project details are finalized and complete; ready to be brought into reality! During the construction process, we invite you to keep in contact with us and to let us know if you have any questions. We would love to assist you in picking out materials, colours, finish details and any other design items to make the final product as beautiful and complete as possible.
